    The Data Integration Specialist’s role is to model/map and execute all activities related to the integration of data across various sources into an organized and unified view. This individual is also responsible for the monitoring of data flow between databases, servers and Cloud services to identify, implement, and maintain the architecture for the organization’s needs. Duties and responsibilities include:

    • Data integration administration
      • Work with Database Administrator/Developer, System Administrators, and project stakeholders to ensure that data entry, retrieval, change and delete functions meet business requirements for project completion.
      • Function as the operational and project lead for data integration.
      • Identify data entry, retrieval, change, and delete issues, and work to ensure a high level of data availability.
      • Install and configure relevant components to ensure database access and overall data security.
      • Diagnose and resolve data access and performance issues.
      • Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for business applications, client/server databases, and database applications.
      • Evaluate and select data components, including software, relational database management systems, metadata management tools, and database design solutions.
    • Secondary database management
      • Assist in resolving database problems, queries and error reports in accurate and timely manner
      • Write complex scripts, queries and procedures as necessary for automation of database and reporting tasks.
      • Assist in ensuring the optimal configuration of databases for efficiency, performance, stability and security, and along with the Database Administrator/Developer, coordinate and ensure implementation of data back-up and recovery specifications.
      • Resolve database problems, queries and error reports in accurate and timely manner
      • Participate with special project teams to create processes from design to delivery.
    • PowerBI administration
      • Upgrade and maintain the data analytics environment.
      • Provide end user and stakeholder support and training.
      • Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders and end users to identify and deliver project requirements.
      • Administer and maintain UI, overall design, security, and capabilities.
      • Foster and create a PowerBI community of practice within the organization.
      • Attend Business Intelligence user groups, training or conferences to learn new technology and skills.
    • O365 data management administration
      • Assist in administering the data architecture in O365 to include SharePoint Online and other O365 apps.
      • Assist in administering data flow within forms and electronic workflow.
      • Integrate SharePoint and O365 apps with the data architecture to include the data warehouse and PowerBI.
    • Plan and execute IT projects that includes any and all phases of the project life cycle while incorporating SDLC practices that are suitable for each project.
      • Work closely with applications from concept to maintenance using a systems-development lifecycle methodology.
      • Develop and maintain project plan(s), status reports, risk/issue logs, and other project related artifacts and metrics, and provide status updates to Director of IT, as requested.
      • Recommend changes and enhancements over time and organize, plan, and rollout these changes in the least-disruptive manor possible.
    • Ensure confidentiality regarding youth’s medical backgrounds, financial records, and
      treatment issues.
    • Perform administrative tasks.
    • Other duties as apparent or assigned.


    Education, Credentials and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred in computer science (or strongly related field); 2 year Computer Science degree (or closely related degree) required.
    • Minimum of 3 years of relevant job history managing data and applications required, 5 years of experience preferred. Will accept 10+ years of experience in lieu of a 2-year degree.
    • Experience with Microsoft SQL (MSSQL), MySQL, and common database technologies required.
    • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, ASP.net.
    • Understanding of script methodologies.
    • Experience managing data and processes in healthcare preferred.
    • Experience administering a data analytics tool or software.
    • Experience administering SharePoint and O365.

    Physical Demands

    • Must be able to sit at a desk and computer for extended periods of time.
    • Must have visual acuity conducive to extensive computer monitor work.
    • Must be able to twist, bend, and stretch in a manner conducive to the execution of daily activities within an office environment. May involve repetitive wrist motion.
    • Travel up to 5-10% annually.
