This is a full-time Social Worker position that may be housed in our Devils Lake or Turtle Mt PATH offices to provide services to Turtle Mountain/Spirit Lake.
Recruit, access, train and prepare resource families to ensure quality care consistent with DHS rules and COA standards, PATH mission, values and quality standards, ethics and practice.
Provide comprehensive coordination of all tasks required to meet the treatment needs and best interests of service recipients consistent with DHS, COA standards, PATH mission, values, policies, ethics and practice.
Promote the needs of youth and families to ensure successful outcomes.
Conduct job duties from a framework that acknowledges the impact of childhood trauma on children, caregivers, and service providers. Integrates trauma informed care principles into practice by sharing knowledge and understanding of trauma with the child, foster family and relevant team members. Additionally, utilizes and advocates for the use of trauma-sensitive strategies to support the youth and their family.

Supervision and Practice
Bachelors Degree in Social Work related field required.
Current social work licensure required (LSW).
Experience in foster care, adoptions and/or family-based service preferred (2 plus years
previous applicable experience). Consideration given for additional experience and
education (MSW or Masters in human services, psychology or related field).
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work effectively with children and families
having special needs.
Understanding and ability to assess cultural differences as they apply to treatment
planning and service delivery.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Knowledge and skill in group facilitation.
Ability to communicate effectively in verbal, written and electronic mode.
Basic skill in PC windows environment, particularly in word-processing and e-mail.
Ability and skill in documentation of behavioral health care and child welfare practice.
Flexible schedule: ability to work nights and weekends based on the children and families
Valid driver's license, auto insurance and access to vehicle capable of safely transporting
