The Woodbourne Center, a Nexus Family Member, supports and cares for children and their families who have become involved in the child welfare system, the juvenile justice system, and mental health programs, and gives children new coping skills, a foundation in education, and a positive self-outlook. Family-centered, trauma-informed, psychiatric residential programing addresses harmful sexual behaviors and emotional and behavioral issues. Treatment Foster Care is also offered through the site.
This full-time RN position is responsible for the continued health maintenance and management of each client in the programs and units assigned in order to ensure that all medical and psychological needs are appropriately met. This position will assist with admissions, medication management and immunizations at our Residential Treatment and Children's Diagnostic Centers. Collaborate with members of the treatment team to develop Individual Treatment Plans. Coordinate staff training in CPR, First Aid, medication administration and infection control. Administer bi-annual TB tests and provide Hepatitis and flu vaccines for staff, if applicable. Implement, monitor and coordinate the administration of medications. Attend and participate in staff meetings and training sessions as required. Understand and support the Nexus philosophy and treatment modalities. Ensure confidentiality across the board.
Available work schedule: 3:00p – 11:00p, Work days will be discussed during the interview.
Qualified candidates must be a Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must have a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Maryland; BSN required. Will have a minimum of 1 year related experience; preferably in a residential setting; experience with emotionally disturbed children and adolescents is a plus. Current First Aid/CPR/CPI/Infection Control certification. Valid driver’s license and a driving record that satisfies regulating agency and corporate policy. Will demonstrate excellence in customer service, communication and team work and the ability to thrive and succeed in a fast-paced, structured, quality focused environment.
