Support and reinforce the trauma-informed therapeutic treatment plan of clients by providing guidance, assistance and direction to clients in their daily living activities and by supporting family engagement.
Provide supervision and guidance to resident children and adolescents who have behavior and emotional disorders. Requires flexibility to work on multiple units/programs where and when staff shortages dictate. Responsibilities include modeling and monitoring appropriate daily living skills and behavior; implementation of safety and health procedures; behavior and incident documentation; participation in treatment team meetings; engagement in appropriate therapeutic interventions as needed; planning activities; transporting residents; and other duties. Training includes First Aid, CPR, Infection Control, Medication, Maltreatment of Minors and Vulnerable Adults, and physical intervention techniques.
Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED; Related experience preferred; Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid driver license and acceptable driving record; Requires the ability to work a flexible work schedule, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance, and the ability to twist, bend and stretch in a manner conducive to execution of daily activities within a residential treatment center.
